About Me

I teach people how to speak English.

I also love tea, the beach, shiny things, the curious behavior of cats, and playing my guitar with friends. I love Salsa even though i'm really crap at it :)

PHILOSOPHY

Peace, Love, Harmony, Be Excellent to Each Other, Smile, Work Hard, Dust Your Shoulders and Keep on Moving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To experience a unique exchange of ideas and opinions, whether or not you agree or disagree. I'm not a typical tourist, I prefer to discover new places and see those places from the perspective of a local.

I was previously hosting (quite intensively) in Sardinia, Italy... I then travelled around Europe a few times in a cosy campervan... now I'm in Bratislava, Slovakia ready to start hosting again :).

Interests

Spending time with friends old and new, listening to great music, eating way too much, and laughing. Playing some acoustic guitar in the garden, in nature or on the beach... I love the beach! A bit of ukulele followed by lots of multi-subject conversations.
Laughing.
Laughing on the beach.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies
The Seven Samurai is objectively the greatest movie ever made; The Big Lebowski; Rushmore; Dirty Dancing; Best movies!

(I also love shitty films... 'Dude where's my car', 'Pineapple Express', 'Revenge of the Nerds'... Brilliant)

Music
Toots and the Maytals; Led Zeppelin; The Rolling Stones; Little Feat; Os Novos Baianos; Pretty much all 70's/80's Music - Punk, New Wave, Post-Rock, Alt-Rock and especially 80's Pop.

Books
I like American Authors like Richard Brautigan, Kurt Vonnegut and John Steinbeck. Also George Orwell's 1984 has never been more relevant.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I held a new born baby pig and it was solid like a stone.
Broke both my feet.
Heard a ghost in Belgium.
Nearly accidently robbed a bank in Vermont.
Bought stuff from a Mexican gangster in Detroit.
Judged a stripper contest.
Got trapped by a skunk.
Made a campervan do a handstand.
Drove a million miles for love.
Watched a Chilean sneeze 14 times in row

Teach, Learn, Share

I will probably sing to you and share my hard-drive full of music and movies. Maybe I can help you discover types of music that you never heard before :)
I can help you upgrade your English from 'Good' to 'Awesome'.
We can talk about food forever!
