Hi! I'm Jonas from Leipzig, Germany.

I grew up in that beautiful town called Leipzig. Kind of a Little-Paris Goethe said. I'm very openminded and communicative person who likes to meet other people and see what is going on in our world!

In September 2014 I started my journey of new and great experiences and went to Ireland. There I worked at a farm by Wwoofing, later on I went to Galway to work in a hostel for two month until the end of the year.
At my days off and my free time I visited a lot of places of the Irish countryside to hike in mountains. I really love beautiful landscapes. So I was very happy to be there - that trips gave me a lot of good energy to exploring and going my way.
Currently I'm in Germany. To visit other places and meet more people is kind of a great story in this thing called life! So I will travel again this summer.

I yet visited also Praque, Edinburgh, London, Paris, some cities and places in Austria and Germany. So.. I did a lot of experiences there but the world is bigger. There is still a lot to explore.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first couch-surfing expierience I made was in 2011. Since then I did it a few times and saw that its good to be connected with local people. They know their area and I can get to know local peculiar things first-handed.
Its ways better to listen to own recommendations as just to read them because then it creates a special connection to it.

Interests

First of all - I love trees! I love being connected to them and listening to nature sounds. If you just listen deeply in you might explore a special concert ;)

Also meeting nice people, listen their stories and traveling!
I'm also interested in the old paganism way to think and live.
There are a lot of bands singing and playing about this way in kind of Pagan Folk with old instruments. Amazing!
The way to think about life and see what life brings to me and my folks and friends by changing from the boring way of doing things (like sitting there and watching tv all the day.. bäh) to a more lively and playful way is a great thing. We all can grab the opportunity to have a good and enjoyable life to be happy and fine all day. :)
To think and speak about that things makes me happy often.

The Lord of the Rings, The Pillars of the earth, The Last of the mohican, Apokalypto, The Cloud Atlas, Grand Budapest Hotel, The Walking Dead, ... some stuff!

I am into Psy Trance, Drum'n'Bass and Pagan Folklore. Don't forget game and film soundtracks.
One of my favorite Bands is the dutch Pagan Folk Band "Omnia" and (bulgarian) "Irfan" aswell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This travel to Ireland I started in September '14 was the greatest and most amazing thing I did in my lifetime. So many doors of the way of my life I opened by doing this and so many lovely people I met.. This is an amazing thing for me. I love this feeling to be free to travel and to share experiences and other stuff with people I like.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can try to teach the german language on my way, on the practical way.
An amazing thing I love is cooking. I don't have special culinary cooking skills but I love to cook on a experimental way to my feeling. I can share this with you or we share together! :)

I'm addicted in listening the sounds of different music instruments. To learn guitar and mandolin for example some day will be great.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a lot of experiences I made at my journey through Ireland. I love also to cook and go out to see landscapes, nice places in cities and the near and like to spend time with nice people.
