Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people from around the world, to understand and explore different cultures.
I feel that by experiencing the life as a local, it would be more satisfying as a traveller.
Couchsurfing is the best way to live and feel like a local, with the host showing around places that he/she likes and more locally known instead of just the major tourist attraction.
By participating in couchsurfing itself, I can also share some things regarding my home country, Singapore, which surprisingly is unknown to most people. If possible, I can also cook something special from my home country for the host to try. Just keep in mind though, the dish prepared is going to be rather spicy! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a safari in Sri Lanka, looking for leopards. We had to maneuver our way through the Savannah, passing buffalos and elephants. The trip took a wild turn when our Jeep got stuck in a hole, with the nearest civilization miles away. We were trapped in the middle of nowhere with wild animals observing us through the bushes. Eventually, another Jeep passed us and helped push ours out of the hole. Plus, we managed to spot beautiful leopards hanging out on the trees just above us. It was EPIC!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my life story and maybe if the host is interested, I can teach a little bit on psychology and photography.
If possible, I can also cook a little something special from my home country. But a little warning, the dish is going to be spicy!
