I am Farhan, a foodie, techie guy who is obsessed with I.T and its effect on different cultures around the world. I am also into fitness and nutrition. How different cultures around the world eat different foods in order to obtain the same goal, healthy lifestyle, fascinates me a lot. I love to travel and learn about different cultures even though I consider myself an introverted person.

I fell in love with computers the moment I laid my hands on one. Therefore, my whole academic journey is focused on learning to create amazing things using computers. My objective is to enable understanding between different cultures around the world using I.T.

My mission is to use I.T in order to make people, around the globe, understand that we are all the same inside. To make people realize that there are good and bad people everywhere. To make them see that mutual respect and understanding is the key to peace and harmony.

When I was a little kid, I was fascinated by American people and their culture. As I grew older, my desire to experience American culture grew as well. But I came to realize that there are a lot of miss understandings between our people. My main goal for traveling in America is to try and change this way of thinking. I plan to show Pakistani people that Americans are not prejudiced towards Pakistani rather they are generous and welcoming, meanwhile showing Americans that we are not much different than them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am in the USA for Global UGRAD Exchange Program which is a cultural exchange program funded by US Department of States. So I plan to travel as much of USA as I want and explore the local culture. Couch-surfing is a great platform that allows me to experience american student life.
