About Me

Hi Dear All,

If there's one hobby I can be truly proud of, it would have to be Couchsurfing. As a surfer or a host, I have had the exquisite pleasure of meeting and befriending complete strangers, staying in local homes instead of hotels or hostels, and helping out fellow travelers in need.

I am now a couchsurfing host myself and have hosted people from all over the world. Without exception these travellers have been inspirational, and all have fascinating stories to tell.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because, Couchsurfing for those who are less familiar, is a mixture of cultural exchange, traveling on the cheap, and charity. It is one of the few ideas to emerge from the era of social networking that actually encourages people to do more, together, in person, than they would if they had not signed up. It builds bridges and confidence, improves social skills, and widens your horizons in incalculable ways. It gives back more than you could ever put into it.

It works based on a system of profiles and references, allowing hosts and guests some insight into who it is they will be sharing space with and what kind of experience they can expect. Completely free, it is the one way to stay connected - face-to-face - with people from around the world, without leaving your house.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Traveled from Baku, Azerbaijan to Minsk, Belarus by hitch-hiking through crossing Georgia, Russia, Ukraine. It was taken my 20 days in order to overcome 2300 kilometers.
- Paragliding in Nepal, Everest
- Hitch-hiking from Zagreb, Croatia to Venice, Italy crossing Slovenia as well as former one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I remember this quote from movie. It's like Forrest Gump said, 'Life is like a box of chocolates.' Your career is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get. But everything you get is going to teach you something along the way and make you the person you are today. That's the exciting part - it's an adventure in itself.
