Overview
About Me
I am a weekday forest conservationist, who often ended up working through the weekend too.
(Also currently enrolled in school of anthropology and development studies)
When I am not tied to my desk or walking under the forest canopy, I enjoy going diving, surfing, bushwalking, lay in a hammock under a big bushy tree, playing with the elephant at conservation centre down the road from home, drinking coffee with friends, enjoying (not wo cheap, but bad) wine and cocktail in a rooftop bar in Banda Aceh, or sunset walk on the beach while collecting rubbish.
Acehnese by blood, heart and soul, but a supporter of choice and freedom at the same time.

PHILOSOPHY
Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
- Benjamin Franklin (1759)

Recently my boyfriend got me into Trentemoller, Paul Kalkbrenner and Extrawelt. My music taste rather fluid and largely depends on the people I hang out with, or my mood.
Zadie Smith. Amitav Ghosh. Pablo Neruda. Milan Kundera. Richard Dawkins. Kim Stanley Robinson. Sam Harris. TERRY PRATCHETT!!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
comin out from the closet - as an atheist. (in a very close, intimate, religious conservative environment)
On the first of January 2014 I decided that my new year resolution is to spend less money on stuff, more on experience. Since then, I've sky dived over mount cook in New Zealand, Snowboard in Italian Alps, Cliff jumping in Croatia, Partying like crazy in The Netherlands, Kitesurfing in Aceh, and still buffaloing through my PhD. There's so much more life experience I am looking forward to, and to share with you! my fellow wanderlust.
Teach, Learn, Share
I always love meeting people who can teach me Yoga & Capoeira, in exchange, I can teach you Bahasa Indonesia, sharing thoughts about forest, climate, environment, or simply connecting on human level :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a low-maintenance surfer, quite independent and happy to explore on my own, throughout my experience surfing and hosting, I've met various awesome individuals who I ended up become friends with. I like good conversations and stories and I am happy to help out around the house :)
good conversations - and please note, I DO NOT SLEEP WITH MY HOST OR MY SURFER.
