ABOUT ME

They'd probably say I'm a warm and friendly person, highly philosophical, who likes to eat and feed, who loves her cats and animals in general, a linguist, a good listener, shy when in a crowd, firm, knows what she wants, highly independent, stubborn, opinionated yet understands and respects that others too have the right to their opinions, spiritual and non-religious, strongly resents any form of discrimination, open minded, ongoing urge to explore, learn and grow, loves to do her house, likes to wear big jewellery....

PHILOSOPHY

As we are constantly evolving... it's okay for our belief systems and values to change. What's important is to be true to ourselves at any given time. Each and every one of us is an integral part of the whole...no one, absolutely no one is better or worse.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined CS on Jan 1, 2013. So far, I've had only one experience of hosting a CS at my place in Abu Dhabi, i.e. just before relocating to India in Feb 2013. I am now based in Surat, Gujarat and CS has been a great platform for me to meet new people and make new friends.

Interests

Knowing life, understanding our creation and why we're here, Spirituality, Energy Healing and alternative medicine, meeting and talking to people, being with friends and hosting them, volunteering and adding value and helping change lives, listening to music, painting, cooking but only when in the right mood, playing with my cats, gardening, interior decoration and doing up my living space, and sometimes just doing NOTHING :)

I enjoy reading new age, self development, spirituality related material.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My family and I were amongst the thousands of people who were living in Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion on it in August of 1990. Time spent in Kuwait during the invasion and the process of leaving Kuwait in the days thereafter was a life changing experience.

Having lost a dear friend during this phase and having to deal with her burial amidst all the chaos in the country, was another incident that I will never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I find one on one sharing of life experiences very intriguing and soul nourishing. I would love to teach the languages I am fluent in and learn some more languages myself.
