Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Life is a journey. Travelling is one of the best ways to get to know yourself and your purpose in the world...It helps you grow in ways you probably wouldn't be able to grow otherwise...

I think we're fortunate to live in an era where there's lots of different opportunities that bring like-minded people together...In terms of travelling, it's just great that there's such a thing as Couchsurfing that allows people to connect with travelers while they might not have the opportunity to travel themselves...For one thing, it reminds you that there's great things about where you live that attracts people from faraway places to make the effort and time (and so on) to come and visit your area! There's no need to go toooo far if you still haven't explored your own surroundings...unless you're one of those people who think the grass is greener on the other side (which I'm not)...Well, I guess whether or not you should go tooo far even if you haven't explored your own surroundings is debatable...

When you're the one traveling, well, who wouldn't want to interact with locals and get insiders' tips on what to do and where to go and make new friends? :)

Interests

I enjoy a good respectful philosophical conversation...among other things.
I like to think (more than talk).
I like cooking (especially to share with others), exploring nature, going on adventures, being spontaneous, photography, cycling, ...
Also, it makes me happy to know that I've made a positive change in someone's day -however small. (I have learned not to underestimate the power of something as small as holding doors for the person behind you -especially if they're still a few seconds away. It always brings a smile! Or two I should say...
