About Me

A guy who recommended Evliya Çelebi, a famous Turkish traveler lived in the 17th century, as the name of the mosque his grandfather will build when he was 11. Apart from that, very talkative. Like, very.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically, to learn and be amazed once again about how we are all the same and quite different at the same time all around the globe.

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much listen to "everything that sounds enjoyable". My favourite singers are Tom Odell, Eminem and Tarkan. I love Arctic Monkeys as well.
Favourite movies is a harder question but think I could name La La Land, Good Will Hunting, Das Leben der Anderen and Shutter Island.
I love every single thing written by George Orwell. Besides that, I like African Leo by Amin Maalouf and Haldun Taner in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was the most amazing day of my life, to be precise. We, me and my friends, started the day at a night club in Jerusalem. Then we went to Friday prayer to Masjid al-Aqsa, which is very sacred for the Muslims. After that, we've been to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, a pilgrimage point for Christianity. When the sun was about the set, we've visited the Western Wall and it was Sabbath. We joined the dance circles of the Jews and sang with them. It was quite a unique experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn cooking different dishes special to the hometowns of my surfers and hosts.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've had drastical changes with my world view and habits. I can share my experiences about growing up in quite a conservative family and how my mind has been changed so far. Besides, I've been to 28 countries, I guess, and collected looots of memories which are interesting as I always backpack while I'm travelling.
