About Me

I have to 2 hometowns-- Batangas, the place I was born and Davao, where I grew up. Both places have raised the knack for adventure in me while growing up. I've resigned my corporate job of almost 7 years as a real estate broker and now enjoying my time and flexibility as a freelancer which also allowed me to do makeup gigs and jewelry and accessories making on the side and of course travelling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've started this account few years ago but I have yet to try couchsurfing. What better way to get to know the place but through it's own people. I've been to other countries but usually with friends or families. It's only been not so recently that I got the time on my plate and budget to travel. I always had a knack for adventure but this time it's about me really getting out of my comfort zone and do things afraid like trying couchsurfing. I always feel awkward and feeling out of place when I travel in groups because I want to see and experience things my way like it's okay not to have a plan and mingling with the locals. I find it joyful and amusing to be lost and then essentially finding the beauty of some unheard of places, kindness of locals, strangers, and fellow old souls.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Bible, books by Bo Sanchez and Joel Osteen, those related to house/ interior design, jewelry, accessory, bag-making, Self-help/motivational books. I'm hoping to find the book entitled, Half the Sky.

Movies: almost all sorts of genres except horror--those with non-sense morbid killings and alien movies.

Tv series...a lot!-- then Grey's anatomy, all CSI shows but not much into Miami, Spartacus and Game of Thrones, True Blood, 2 Broke Girls, Emily Owens, M.D., Once Upon a Time, The Bible, The Designated Survivor, Madam Secretary, Stranger Things, Young and Hungry, and Hunger.

Music-- alternative but I have broad taste depending on my mood. My phone's playlist also includes contemporary Christian praise and worship, feel good songs mostly by India Arie, Toby Lightman, Natasha Bedingfield, Jason Mraz and my fave feel good songs Somewhere over the Rainbow and What a Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (if you haven't heard of them, try...so soothing that my mind takes me to a remote island paradise where I lie on a hammock sipping fresh coconut juice atop a hill while watching and listening to the sea waves)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saved a baby's life! Performed CPR on about 5 month old helper's baby some years ago before evengetting first aid training.

Teach, Learn, Share

From time to time, I teach arts and crafts to young abused ladies of a Catholic shelter run by nuns as a healing therapy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I currently live in Taguig for almost 14 years now. Since I live alone in a small 1 bedroom apartment with a single bed, I could accept accommodation of only 1 person and female only. She must be open to sleeping on the floor tatami style. I have a small kitchen, dining, living area and a good-sized toilet and bath. My neighborhood is not in the CBD but I'm very close to the terminal 3 airport New Port area about 10 minutes on normal traffic and via cab, 15-20 minutes to Makati, BGC, Parañaque, and SM mall of Asia. My place is basically at the center. It's totally safe! I've been here for years since I started to live independently and my neighbors may not be as cool but it's a typical Filipino neighborhood😊 where you can hear loud videoke sessions on weekends. As my time is flexible and I don't have an office to go to daily, I could tour you around and maybe join you in your Philippine adventure.
