I'm a recent graduate (Wesleyan College ‘17) who studied Biology and International Relations. I’ve recently started a job as a Community Organizer in Virginia where I am working to build political power in the progressive Asian American community. I enjoy making bad puns, playing board games, and asking people about their life stories.

Having lived in 3 countries and 4 states throughout my life, I have grown to love being in new environments with new people. There is so much each of us can learn from one another and I’m excited to do just that through this community.

I love going to see live music, chatting with friends, reading, listening to podcasts, doing yoga, hiking, wandering through museums, playing board games (Risk is my favorite),and really just having good conversations.

Music:

I enjoy most music, especially if I get to hear it live and local. Some of my favorite artists are the Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, James Bay and HAIM. I'm also a sucker for any song which has violins or an acoustic version.

TV Shows:

Parks and Recreation, New Girl, The Good Place, West Wing, The Office.

Movies:

As far as movies go, I really love Inside Out and Rugrats in Paris never fails to make me cry. I've recently developed an appreciation for more indie, black and white, and foreign films.

Books:

And the Mountains Echoed and Life of Pi are two of my favorite books right now, however I never feel as I've read enough to declare a favorite.

Furnishing my flat bedroom with a bed, desk, chair and wardrobe only one day after arriving in Germany for an internship (all for 50 euros, might I add).
