About Me
There is nothing harder than this question.
I usually define myself as a Triple A : African Arab Amazigh ( search it on google if you dont know it) . I am Triple who loves in betweening.
I had the great privilege of living in various places in my life and moving a lot. I was born and raised in Tunisia then moved to France then moved the USA to come back to Germany for my bachelor which I just completed and I will be heading to Copenhagen soon.
I am very outgoing yet enjoys my alone time. Traveling fits me well because it combines both.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing because there is nothing better than collaborative systems to smash capitalism.
Ok, a more serious note : I am on Couchsurfing because this platform fits my upbringing perfectly. I was raised in an international environment, went to an international university and all the real relevant information about countries, society and politics, i never got them from books but from social interactions.
Couchsurfing is the social interaction space which allows me to explore more while meeting people interested in exploring as well.
Interests
Politics, arts, intersectional feminism and swimming. I am quite a chill person who could spend a day in bed reading . I care about development in particular and I really like exploring countries to explore the various vision of development myself.
Learning by doing they call it. learning by traveling I d refer to it.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music ranges from underground Tunisian repressed rap to mainstream Coldplay.
I am a lot into the Pedro Almodovar movies , the Edward Norton classics and any Darren Aronofsky perl : ( PI/ Black Swan/ The fountain)
Bookwise, i fancy Simone de beauvoir and Sartre's exsitentialist writing. a bit chiller would be Maya Angelou's books, Albert Camus and George Orwell's famous 1984
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
participating in the mass protest movement against the Tunisian ex dictator. It was scary, dangerous yet beautiful. This engendered what is now refered to as the Arab spring.
Nothing to take credit for but seeing that we,the youth,, kicked out a dictator is certainly one of the most amazing things I will ever do.
