Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
chasing the mountains and sun around south america on a motorbike
ABOUT ME
easy going, slightly crazy (like riding around south america on a chinese 200cc motorbike), up for different experiences, love meeting people and talking about the deep and not so deep things in life. LOVE eating and food generally, and if I had to choose mountains or beaches - it would probably have to be mountains.
PHILOSOPHY
can probably be summed up in one word - serendipity - unexpected joy. both the seeking and sharing of it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
couchsurfing has changed the way i travel - and i've been lucky enough to have been welcolmed warmly into people's homes and lives. although I've not hosted through CS yet, as soon as I stop gallavanting around the world I look forward to meeting other travelers and hearing their stories!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I guess the fantastic thing about couchsurfing is seeing a city from a totally different perspective - through meeting the hosts, hearing their stories and seeing their town through their eyes a bit. I've been really lucky in that my previous hosts have been incredibly welcoming and shared a bit of their city with me! definitely a different side to the usual tourist route!
Interests
eating, drinking, hiking, motorbiking, exploring, walking around different neighbourhoods, talking, reading, doing the odd extreme activity, lying in the sunshine, doing snow angels, soaking in a hot spring, flying kites

Music, Movies, and Books
not a big live music fan, but like all kinds apart from heavy metal really. big on jazz, dnb, classical, electronic. books are a bit of a mish mash - currently attempting to lighten the load of books I'm lugging around that include fiction, social essays, travel stories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
trekking up to everest base camp in nepal. phenomenal. riding solo across the andes 1 month after buying and learning (in that order) to ride a motorbike!
Teach, Learn, Share
lived in many countries - and know a fair bit about different kinds of food if anyone interested?! otherwise, speak a bit of japanese, can play violin, pretty good at thumb wars, ok cook.
