Overview
About Me
I'm originally half American/half Chinese but I grew up in Belgium and the UK. I recently moved back to London, after a stint in Paris to complete my masters (in economics and public policy). I'm a city rat but doesn't mean I don't feel comfortable in the big outdoors- on the contrary, I love hiking and I'm always keen for an adventure!
About me: I'm outgoing, relaxed, positive and I don't take myself too seriously.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ever since a friend shared his Couchsurfing experiences many many years ago, I was fascinated by the concept. I started using it a lot, as I was lucky to have the time/opportunity to travel a lot and have roomates that were open to hosting. It's safe to say it's really changed the way I travel and probably much more that I don't even realise. Recently, I haven't been very active but this is an amazing community which I cherish alot!
Unfortunately I'm not able to host at the moment as I recently let go of my flat in London since I'm moving to NYC in the next months.
Interests
FOOD! Cooking, eating, everything. It's always been a huge part of my life and my favourite thing when going away is trying out new dishes I've never seen before. That and having a bit of a groove session, going out and being silly.
TRAVEL! I guess like a lot of people here, I caught the travel bug... Some of my most memorable trips are hitchhiking across Europe, travelling from Kazakhstan to Japan by land, backpacking across China and South America, working in farms in Italy and Korea and a language school in Tokyo.

Music, Movies, and Books
Bob Dylan, Beirut, Beach house, Frank Ocean, Anderson Paak, Velvet Underground, Theo Parrish, Mount Kimbie, Jessy Lanza, Mac Demarco, Jamie XX, Motown, Toots and the Maytals... Any music with soul- from catchy pop to obscure Ethiopian jazz.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most exciting in the shortest amount of time would have to be skydiving!
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to cook and would be more than happy to share how to make some dishes - just let me know what cuisine you are interested in. My cooking style is very varied as I like to make dishes from all over. I mostly make western style food at home, but I also like to cook Chinese (even though it's never as good as my mom's) and recently have been interested in cooking Korean food.
I'm also a novice crochet-er so I can teach you the very basic stitches if you're interested
