About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore Europe and travel more before I move to New York to start a full time job.
ABOUT ME
Hello! My name's Fay. I'm a 22-year-old recent college graduate from Boston, and will work in New York from next year. Unfortunately, that mean that this is the longest break I'll have for a long, long time- so I want to take advantage of it to visit some of the European countries I've wanted to see for a long time! I'm friendly, easily amused, and love wandering around new cities.
PHILOSOPHY
Do it for the story.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started CouchSurfing when I went backpacking for two months through Japan, during a break at Kanazawa University. Those two months were an amazing experience- I met really cool people and had all kinds of adventures.
This summer I'm traveling around Europe with my friend Todd and hoping to couchsurf again. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends. I've never been to Europe before, so this will be fun! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I CouchSurfed in Japan for two months while my study abroad school (Kanazawa University) was on break so I could practice Japanese and meet cool people. I also briefly couchsurfed in Taipei & Seoul.
Interests
Traveling, photography, painting shoes, (attempting) to cook (and promptly giving up and ordering take-out), trying new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Couchsurfed in Japan, and (briefly) Taiwan and Seoul. Met amazing people that I'm in contact with now.
Volunteered at rural free schools in the mountains and went hiking to watch the sun set.
Also traveled to Japan for the first time in High School with no Japanese and stayed with families who didn't speak English. :)
