I have a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Integrative Biology, and a minor in French. I maintain an interest in herpetofauna, especially snakes, and all kinds of nature travel. I enjoy camping and hiking to wild places, and I have a special love for water sports, being in or traveling over water.

I have been playing classical piano since I was 4 years old. Currently I'm without a piano, so I am also looking for chances to practice.

I enjoy board games, video games, and one of my favorite social games is a gps-caching game called Ingress. Wherever I travel, I like to turn on the game and visit local portals, complete missions, and meet new friends.

I took up knitting, because it reminds me of my paternal grandmother, Nana. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time and energy to devote to my projects, so I seem to have them in the wings, incomplete.

I love eating, so naturally I must learn to cook if I want to enjoy the best food. I'm very adventurous, but I also do a lot of comfort food that reminds me of my childhood, and I make yummy food for my children that have food sensitivities and allergies.

Finally, my father is an architect that loves photography. I felt his love for me in the way that he documented our lives through photography and how he took photographs of all the places he visited. I am doing the same for my children and myself, photographing our lives and all the beautiful things and people and places we encounter.
