I recently just moved back from China last year working as a high school literature teacher. I am passionate about education, graphic design, interior design, anthropology, and photography. I recently moved from Denver to San Francisco. While living in the states, I work as a freelance online Creative Writing and English Teacher to Chinese students. I have also been the creative director for and event design company that specializes in large scale music festivals. I am excited to move to Alaska for the summer in Homer. I have a lot of faces to meet, places to see, stories to hear, and strangers to meet.

I am traveling with one duffle bag and one backpack. I am organized, clean, and extremely mindful of people's home.

I am half Filipino and nurturing and honoring the home is definitely a part of my culture. You can count on me to be respectful of your space. I look forward to meeting you and learning a little bit about your story!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be traveling to Homer for the summer and checking out Alaska to see if this is a place where I would like to live in the future. I have been to McCarthy a couple of times, and Homer for the first time last year and absolutly fell in love with it. I will be needing a place to stay every once in awhile as I travel throughout Alaska. After living abroad in Cartagena, Colombia and Qingdao, China; I especially valued my time that I got to spend living and sharing space with the locals. Getting a glimpse of the how people live while in their home is a much more intimate growing experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked for a month in Nepal and completed the Annapurna circuit.

Got my teaching certificate volunteering for a year in Cartagena, Colombia. Colombia is one of the most amazing places I have ever lived. The people of Colombia tickle my heart; my time and experience there will forever be my benchmark of humanity.
