ABOUT ME

I adore meeting people, and am captivated by pretty much anything thats interesting which is one of the best things about traveling on your own! I party in the places i visit to see as much of the nightlife as i can, whilst absorbing the more serious stuff in the day! Last october i left on a one way ticket to travel and find work abroad and hard to not sound cliche, but im easygoing, very sociable...Plus a very good houseguest i promise!

PHILOSOPHY

Travelling is amazing but the best bits are when you can stop for a moment and truely experience where you are.

Oooo, lots of all of this. Currently listening to the following bands on repeat - Kings of Convenience, Vampire Weekend, Explosions in the Sky, Editors, Interpol, Kings of Leon, Fiest, Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire, Block Party, Sigur Ros, Bjork...list could go on!

Books - Birdsong, The Kite Runner, Russel Brand's autobiography (i didnt like the guy but this is *hilarious*) The Girl in the Picture (when travelling in Vietnam), Equus and Kafka's The Trial (superb plays that i directed in Cardiff), Captain Corelli*s Mandalin, The Unbearable Likeness of Being, Amy Blooms short stories,

Movies - Quirky films like Juno and Me You and Everyone We Know; Requiem for a Dream; The Kite Runner; Bound (best ganster film iv seen); Spirited Away and Belleville Rendez Vouz (examples of perfect animation); Children of Men; Secretary; Amelie...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To bring this big question back down to something small, i think the most amazing thing iv seen this year is a silk worm. I held one in my hand whilst in Vietnam and it was the softest, most underrated thing ever. I had stupidly never thought to know how silk was made, how the worms were cultivated, and there they were all wriggly.
