About Me

I'm unable to accept guests currently cos I'm travelling!
See that I'm real: instagram @fazzaan facebook @FarranDeTao , and zalo/telegram/whatsapp +84 34 511 5831 .

Tui có thể nói bằng tiếng Việt! Bạn có thể tập luyện nói tiếng Anh với tui, và giúp tui nói dùng giọng địa phương của bạn 😁

I'm a chilled guy who's eager and open to talk and learn about anything. I've been teaching English online for 4 years, and voluntarily teaching as I travelled around Viet Nam.

I've been living in Viet Nam for 4 years, and am about to visit my family in the UK.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently passing through Sài Gòn and am in need of a place to stay for a few days! I have some tasks to attend to but I'll also have some free time, so we can hang out if you're looking for a friend or a sightseeing buddy ^_^

I first came to Couchsurfing because I heard it was a good way to find accommodation in the cities I pass through.
Since then, I've discovered it to be a great way to meet incredible, open-minded people who are willing to share their home with you, and that as humans, we are all here to exist together and learn from each other.
When I travel, I find it far more fulfilling to spend my time with people along the way who know the area and can show me their perspective, than to spend a couple of nights in a hostel!

Interests

I used to spend a lot of time spinning poi, juggling, and contact juggling. I occasionally do fire poi & fire staff performances. More recently, I've returned to playing musical instruments, drawing, and painting.
I am deeply intrigued by the workings of the mind and the workings of the universe, so I am interested in anything which can teach me about these!

I like to spend a lot of time outdoors exploring Nature, and visiting old & ancient sites like castles, monoliths and temples.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you some of the basics of poi. I believe flow arts have a powerful, positive effect on the brain, and I think they are an invaluable skill which everyone can benefit from.

I have recently passed my TEFL certification, so I am now qualified to teach you English if you wish!

I am currently learning Vietnamese & Spanish, and dipping into Korean and Japanese out of etymological interest and linguistic patterning. I know a small amount of German from my school-years. I would love to learn more of these languages from anyone who can speak them!
Now that I'm travelling Asia, I would like to learn basics of the languages wherever I travel - most likely this will be Thailand, Laos and Viet Nam. Possibly I will spend some time in Cambodia and Burma/Myanmar as well.

I used to practise yoga and qi gong every day, and would love to share this with you. I find qi gong to be very powerful for balancing your mind and synchronising your body.
