About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We love to meet people from all over the world. For us, lodging surfers, it's like having a vacation while staying home. We love having good talks and good laughs around the kitchentable.
ABOUT ME
We are a couple of 62 and 56, living with two little dogs.
During summerweekends we love to go out camping with our oldtimer-caravan on tiny campingsites. We like the outdoors, but also theater and art.
But most of all we love to sit around the kitchen table with friends to eat and drink, having good talks and having a good laugh.
That's also why we invite foreigners to share their lives with us.
PHILOSOPHY
Staying with families is the best way of exploring a country, we think. It's one of the best ways to really see what's life is about in a foreign country. That's for us going abroad. But also staying home, having hosts is like vacation for us. Hospitality makes us happy.
We like to share and we like having fun with each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Again: dining and wining together, talking together and having a nice breakfast.
Maybe we can show you around in this unknown, but lovely area.
Meeting others and having fun
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've welcomed only a couple of guests so far. A young couple from Servia, a retired motorcyclist from the USA and a Hungarian family with their adorable little boy. We had a great time together with all of them.
We have great and lovely memories for each of them.
Interests
We're nature lovers, ecology (without being very strict, though, having two cars ourselves).
Humanoria and art in all sorts of ways. History, geography, politics; just everything that seems important in this world.
Different ways of living and thinking.
Eating and drinking, fixing it and consuming it.

Classical music, World music, Klezmer, Jazzy.
Films? From dark French to The Sound of Music.
Books? Litterature, mostly Dutch, travels
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We loved our hiking trips in Italy, Poland and Rumania, staying with families.
Narrow boating in England. The most recent travels we have made are two long journeys to South Africa and. We are now saving for a long trip to Birma and Malaysia end of 2017. Having Christmas in Borneo in a traditional 'longhouse' looks like a very interesting goal to go for.
Teach, Learn, Share
Tell us about your life. Tell us about your dreams.
But also about your profession, your study.
We are interested in all ages and in all.....
We are not very particular, but we have been around quiet a while.
Our stays with Polish, Rumanian, Greek, Irish, Turkish and South African families were the best things ever happened to us while travelling.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Of course we can show you around. We live in a part of the Netherlands thats been inhabited from the days of the Peloponesian wars until now. Changing from people that lived on selfmade hills surrounded by land dayly overflowing by the sea until now, the most modern agricultural region in the world with all the environmental problems that it gives in this changing time. We find this interesting. We can visit the sea with you or go to the isles up north.
We have a boat so a litlle trip in this waterrich region is also one of the possibilities. Cause we like our surfers we will give them a goid time.
