Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been participating in CS both as a host and surfer through my boyfriend, who is a long-time and avid CS enthusiast. When we were living together in Granada, Spain, we hosted quite a few surfers (one a week on average) and stayed with as many people as possible as we traveled through Europe. I haven't made my own profile until now because I haven't needed to, but I anticipate traveling alone in the near future so it seemed like a good idea. I don't have any references yet, but feel free to check my boyfriend's page (Nathan Harber listed as living in Granada, Andalusia, Spain) for many positive references that I've been included in! I love couch surfing because it gives you the opportunity to see wherever you are through the eyes of someone who lives there. I'm not one for big tourist attractions; I'd always rather go to a cafe or a tapas bar with good company and people watch, take in the scenery, and get a taste for the local way of life. Nathan and I have made some life-long friends through couch surfing-- people who share our passion for travel and meeting new people.

Interests

Whimsical traveling, public radio, The New York Times, language, hiking and backpacking, long runs, good wine and good conversation, learning about anything and everything, baseball, bluegrass, and a great cup of coffee.
