About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling Europe and Asia

ABOUT ME

Unconventional dude I guess. I do not follow the straight and narrow.

During the summer of 2012, I toured Europe solo on my bike (4500 km). I went north from Toulouse, France to Oslo, Norway and back south to Berlin, Prague and Vienna and then Turkey in the fall.

In the fall of 2014, I rode down the U.S. west coast from Vancouver, Canada to the Mexican border at Tijuana.

I then took a flight from L.A. to Bangkok and spent another 5 months bopping around southeast Asia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Myanmar, sometimes biking and the rest of the time by public transport.

2018 is a new travelling year with bike tours in Mexico for six weeks from Oaxaca to Guanajuato and then two and a half months during summer with "mon amoureuse" in France.

Surfing and hosting...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met wonderful people people on CS, some of which will remain my friends forever (I hope). I also met people through warmshowers.org for bike touring crazies. :-)

Interests

People. People who are honest, like to think and engage me with their thoughts. They'll get the same attention from me.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many... I'm reading Nicolas Bouvier's "L'usage du monde", Train de nuit pour Lisbonne; movies: Moonrise Kingdom, Melancholia, "Intouchables" from Toledano / Nakache; music: still tripping on The War on Drugs but again, so much stuff I love.

Reading books is like meeting people: it's an ongoing process like life...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Raising our children; being at the top of the Giza pyramid in Egypt to see the sun rise; and of course trekking the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp (especially that crazy flight to Lukla).

Having a 360˚ view of Istanbul at night from the top of the Marmara Hotel.

...and the list foes on!
