About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get a thrill every day. And to find the place where I would like to turn a couch surf into a permanent bed. After a lot of browsing, of course! :)

ABOUT ME

A born-and-raised girl from São Paulo born in Av. Paulista. I like to show people around, and to be shown around too, haha. Seriously, travelling is amazing, a self-discovery every time, even when done on my own backyard. Let's go for it!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to find a way to combine living for others and for myself. Kind of hard to find the harmony, though. Well, maybe harmony is just overrated!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently available to show you around my city!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only been a surfer so far, but would be glad to take you for a coffee.

Interests

Exploring cool, alternative places, people, things, events... Markets, vintage stores, psychology, sports, local food, languages, fotography (www.flickr.com/#/photos/fe_suzuki/), movies, art (can't really put my finger on it, but some things more than others. I don't really understand about it, just enjoy it)...

Music, Movies, and Books

From the top of my head and not necessarily on this order...
Movies: Strangers on a Train, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Kill Bill, Inglorious Bastards, The Stuff (I have personal reasons also, ok?), Pina, Piaf. I'll think of some more.
Books: The Brothers Karamazov - Dostoievsky, Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira (don't know if there's an english version) - Jose Saramago, A la recherche du temps perdu - Proust.
Music: it varies. Currently, I've been listening to some 80's, Corinne Bailey Rae, Adele, Duffy, Keziah Jones, some brazilian things, mostly Samba Rock. And others... Always happy to learn some new ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

International sports event on China, accidentally wandering into a naturist river beach in Prague with a bunch of old people (not a nice sight!), eating chicken sushi and public bathing in Japan, meeting a famous jazz musician without knowing it in NY, seeing wild animals and landscapes in Pantanal (Brazil), feeling incredibly sick after a space cake in Amsterdam, living on a boat on a local community in the Amazon for 10 days, having an amazing insight on a moment with myself, after having walked the whole day with a huge paper bag under the rain.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hard to say if I'm an expert in anything. Well, for the sake of it, I guess I could say I have an insider's knowledge on a subject not very familiar to many people, since I was a synchronized swimmer for 10 years. :)
Ok, not that interesting, but I don't really know how to cook or have an expertise in arts or music. I'm always eager to learn, though!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A nice talk and a maybe not so enjoyable meal! I know the basics about photography, so if you're really raw at it, I might be able to help. Oh, and Portuguese. I can help foreigners with that!

Countries I’ve Visited
