ABOUT ME

Grown up right next to a Fjord in a very calm half-scandinavian province in northern germany. I passionately study Literature and Philosophy. I play in a post-rock band. I read and write a lot. I love deep discussions. I've had a big affection for France, Spain and Italy ever since I was a child. I like birds, insects, furniture, dirty small bars, the sound of languages, foreign poetry, hills, lakes...

PHILOSOPHY

To me, philosophy is the practice of clarifying thoughts, not a theory one can believe in. Philosophers have helped producing ideologies the whole history of human thinking or even rather spend their time creating ridiculous problems instead of solving them. So to say, within philosophy, I am quite anti-philosophical. I love rhetorics. Nothing so powerful like the persuasiveness of a good argument. Generally I am logical-rational thinking, but I like to believe in mythological stuff of which I do not claim to have knowledge about. My religious, spiritual practice would be my deep connection to trees and nature in general, I guess (so by all despise for romanticism I guess deep in my heart I am still a romantic). I am opposed to post-modernism. My favourite topics of philosophy are language, nature, technology and ethics in general.

Most of all I love to be a tour guide and tell you all kinds of historical, mythological and cultural anecdotes about the town I live in. I can also show you the secret of cooking a good black tea, the basic rules for being a decent chess player or classical fail arguments for better skills in discussion. For my part, I'd like to get vegetarian cooking ideas and tips. Oh, and I'd love to improve my french!
