About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living with a balance of patience and urgency

ABOUT ME

I have a voracious appetite for life but I'm not very loud or gregarious. More like subtle. I'm at my best when I'm attuned to the world around me and of a generous spirit and I'm getting better and better at being that way more consistently. I'm trying to get myself off the ground as both a writer and a musician while at the same time collecting as many skills and talents as I possibly can. I like talking about travel experiences, spirituality, academics, plants, movies, books, music. I am a gentle, old soul.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe there is always light to walk in and music to listen to and the project of my life is to attune my whole self to this light and music. It can be found anywhere- spring mornings, mountains, streams, street bustle, late night conversation, shared meals, working with plants, playing with children, walking in the forest, sitting on the bus or in a diner, waiting for a train, sleeping outside, running, laughter. May I never forget these things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer my couch and my time and energy to be hospitable to anyone who asks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted one couch surfer through my brother and that was fun. In Georgetown, Guyana, I was greatly helped by Vidyu. In Boa Vista (where I am currently living), I have made a friend through couchsurfing and hopefully some others as well. I have hosted a guy from Spain and a guy from Argentina. Both were on their way to Venezuela
