About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To love life and live colourfully!

ABOUT ME

We're a bubbly couple from Yorkshire who love a nice pint, good food and good company.

I'm Alexa, a creative person who cares about the world and loves the sublimity of the great outdoors. Extremely silly and a little dippy and always wanting to play or do and adventure. I have a huge amount of love for all the people and places I encounter. I love good food, walking (though I'm unfit!) and animals of all kinds.

Jack is a one-of-a-kind laid back sort of guy. Very easy to get along with, thoughtful and good for a laugh. A spiller of spaghetti and pints (but not on your couch I assure you!), open-hearted and unkempt. He manages a fudge shop in York (his empire!) and stuns the punters into buying his wares with his seemingly irrepressible energy!

We're both liberal minded and can enjoy deep conversation or light hearted fun.
Our plans are to travel, engage with the world and get involved in some volunteer work.
... current pipe-dreams are owning a charitable music/creative space cafe/bar, circumnavigating the globe on a Surrey Bike and owning a llama farm (for practical and therapeutic purposes).

They may sound like crazy ideas, but we're working on the ethos that anything is possible.

PHILOSOPHY

As above!
Be genuine and open, respect other people. Use life for good things (like living!) and have a positive effect on the world around you... don't just sail on by.
Don't take anything too seriously, however bad things get. Humour is a powerful tool and laughter the healer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have only just joined Couch Surfing so not participated much as of yet! We plan to travel extensively in a year or so, but until then we're happy to have people stay if it's a good time for us (i.e. when I don't have lots of work for university!)
We'd be happy to host, chat and give lots of advice, and if we've time take you round some of the hot-spots.

Looking forward to a future of social exploration and getting to know some really interesting, fun and down-to-earth people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

.... none as of yet!

Interests

Social change, politics, environment, human rights.
Creativity, activities, games, music, food (most especially cheese), beer, the great outdoors, reading, films. Travelling, adventure sports, challenging and daring experiences, facing fears. Wildlife, cute pets, new cultures.

... being daft! (very daft)
Life is all about being yourself.
