About Me

Hi! I'm Federica, I'm from Australia and currently on a journey of starting a new life in Latin America - it started with a lap of Australia in a 4WD with my travel buddy. Then I walked the Portuguese Camino (in December brrrrrrrrr) along with some time around Europe.

SALSA AND BACHATA fan is an understatement... I can dance for hours. And I'm a bit horse crazy. I also really enjoy hiking, and anything that brings me to nature.

I’m deeply passionate about health, cooking meditation, and acro-yoga. I also care a lot about social impact, particularly around healthcare access and equality. One of my goals this year is doing a 10-day Vipassana silent retreat.

I'm hoping to meet new like minded travelers along the way to share memories with. I LOVEEEE trying new food, when I travel I enjoy fully embracing wherever I am.

Prior to this adventure I was working an office job, slightly miserable, and decided it only seemed sensible to turn my life upside down, pack my bag and book a one way ticket to Mexico, yeeeehaww!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to meet other like minded travelers and connect with locals.

I believe the connection we have to other humans is the most powerful thing we have, and Couchsurfing is a medium in which to connect with other open-minded people, learn, share, and when we are lucky end up with rich friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite artists are Fiji Blue and my current song on repeat is On & On by Fututo Pelo

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering at a music festival in the middle of no where (NT, Australia). We got to set-up the stage for Thelma Plum, and it was the first time I got to connect deeply with the Indigenous community and gain a deeper understanding of what their lives are like.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you can sing... or not... join me when I play the ukulele!!! Disclaimed, I am not very good
