About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to change my status from "the shy fly" to "the party animal" LOL
ABOUT ME
I'm an assistant professor at the University of the Philippines, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute (booooring, I know). I love meeting new people with different cultural backgrounds. I love learning languages during free time. I love watching geeky lectures to learn more theories in engineering although I can say that I've applied only 10% of them in my line of work, hahaha.
In person I'm kinda shy at first and really don't say much because I'm afraid I might say or do something that can give myself a bad impression to other people. But I think I'm somewhat decent in terms of socializing, once we get cozy.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy... Hmm... That we can only achieve true happiness in life by opening our minds. Therefore, in order for us to prosper, we need to start listening and evaluate our actions critically.
Interests
Anything. But on top of the list are the following: latest popular music, classical piano, engineering, speech recognition, languages, ancient and modern scripts, console games, typesetting, effective teaching, research methodology, food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Will get back to you on this.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've always been interested in the field of "Language Learning" since I've always been involved mostly in research and activities that is related to languages. I came across this unique school in Thailand where they immerse students to non-stop monolingual teaching (only in the language being taught) and simply let the students absorb the language without forcing them to learn immediately like a toddler learning his or her first word. They say that in theory, the outcome of the learning will be more natural. Only it requires 1800 hours of continuous exposure to the language. :)
And then there's the Pimsleur method.
