About Me

I'm an Argentinean guy living in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.
Thanks to my studies I had the chance to visit some countries and get to know amazing people on each spot I've been.
The story of traveling started when after making an English course in London for a month in 2009, I realized that I wanted to have more experiences like this.
As Anthropologist, I confirmed that living with a host family made me realize that spending time with locals is the best way to get to know about a country, its people and its culture.
So, in 2011 I got an scholarship for an exchange semester in Germany. I fall in love with this country and I decided that after my graduation I would like to continue my studies there. In 2016 I came to Frankfurt (Oder) again to do my masters and since then I live here. Last year I spent 6 months in Lyon (France) as part of my studies where I had the possibility of learning more about France, its culture and its folks. Nowadays I'm back in Frankfurt and I work on my master thesis on Organic Farming Policy in the European Union.

I live in a house project meaning that I live in a self-managed international house with other 20-30 persons. This social organization is a place in which internationality is being practiced and lived and where we promote a open society by offering a place to everyone who wants to contribute to this goal. We offer international cultural events for students, citizens of the city and invite people to get to know more about each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here because I think we all should be able to explore alternatives to mainstream tourism.
Doing that we can all travel and explore new places with locals or people who have been living there, so we can learn more about those places, share other kind of experiences more than just getting our LonelyPlanet and being lonely in a new place.
