About Me

**Couchsurfing is not a dating app/website! Please avoid contacting me if this is what you are looking for**

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet like-minded people in Milan to socialise and travel/hang out with. I also want to travel more getting to know locals and exploring cities as a local, and not just doing what is on the tourist to-do list

Interests

I have practiced artistic gymnastics 🤸‍♀️ for 14 years, and am very passionate about it and rhythmic gymnastics ❤ I am also an avid reader (I have set myself the challenge to read 52 books each year 📚). I am also passionate about photography 📸 and want to study this in more depth (it would be amazing to combine photography and my interest for human rights!). I also study Russian 🇷🇺 and do pottery 🏺during my free-time, and am obsessed with true crime shows and podcasts 🎙

Music, Movies, and Books

🎶 I am a huge fan of live music and particularly Arctic Monkeys and 🇬🇧 I love mostly indie music (Libertines, Babyshambles, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, The Kooks), and also Bruce Springsteen and Paolo Nutini. Not a huge fan of Italian music, but I am learning to appreciate it since I moved back home. Objective for 2025 is to finally go to Glastonbury ❤

🎬 I tend to go through phases where I watch over and over again certain movies, but those I could watch (and have watched) over and over again include: Rear Window, All About Eve, Volver, The Life of David Gale, Casablanca, Blood Diamond, Spotlight, Intouchables, Kill Bill, Les Petits Mouchoirs

📚 Too many to mention, but my favourite books on top of my head are: La Città dei Vivi (N. LaGioia), Venuto al Mondo (M. Mazzantini), Educated (T. Westover), Cose che non si Raccontano (A. Lattanzi), One of Us (A. Seierstad), Persepolis (M. Satrapi), The Feminine Mystique (B. Friedan), Atonement (I. McEwan)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first solo trip to Thailand when I was 20 years old 🇹🇭

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to get the local insights into the cities I travel to and learn a bit of the local language :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you some Italian, and take you to non-touristy spots in Milan or outside of the city :)
