HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Many years ago, a Sardinian guy at a Manu Chao concert introduced us to the art of crashing at random strangers' place. So much fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've entered CS community several years ago, both for travelling and helping people out. It improved my life, really. It's not only about sending and answering requests. I've crashed at CSfers' place met randomly, and I've hosted lost backpackers roaming streets. In Bologna I used to live in a wonderful community house where everybody was welcome and where we had the most fun with travellers from all over. Then, I've become a gypsy for a while and forced to stop my "hosting activity". Sometimes I forgot to update my CS "status" and received tons of requests I just wasn't able to answer, that's why my average of replied request sadly dropped and that's why sometimes my requests were sometimes refused...which I understand, since CS is a community based on people's answers and feedbacks. But don't be fussy and have a look at my references, too! :)
