ABOUT ME

I am not able to describe myself very well but I'll try. My friends say I'm easy going, friendly and open minded, a bit crazy and always available. I love foreign languages, cultures and literature, I study whenever I have time to. I travel every time I can afford it, I've been to the US a few times and to Japan once. I am addicted to TV series but I don't own a TV, I live with my laptop streaming series continuously throughout night and day, I watch everything in original language with no subtitles. I'm always on a diet, struggling to be vegan as I ADORE animals (apart from spiders - I have a phobia) and I own two beautiful cats - Hamlet and Ophelia - who are my pride and joy, I share with them my small apartment and my bed too. My home is colorful, full of things, a bit messy and with lots of writings on the walls, mostly song quotes. I love tattoos, I have a few... I like being alone but I love meeting new people from all over the world. I have many friends who live abroad and I visit them as often as I can. But, as always, I want more! Come join me in my personal adventure they call life :)

PHILOSOPHY

I love learning, I live to learn and if only I weren't terrified of spiders I would have been an 18th century explorer! Oh yes, given I could be born a couple of centuries ago...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only had a brief experience with one surfer, but I met many friends during my summer experiences as a traveler and visited them, so it's pretty much the same thing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Same old same old TV series, ANYTHING you can imagine, I think! Among my favorite: Lost, Fringe, Six Feet Under, American Horror Story, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Game of Thrones, The Big Bang Theory and Twin Peaks. As you can imagine I don't have that much time for movies, but among the ones I keep watching again and again there are: The Lord of the Rings, Donnie Darko, Star Wars, The Butterfly Effect, Harry Potter and The Neverending Story. As for books, I love English literature of the 1800, especially vampire and early sci-fi stories, the glorious Harry Potter saga, Siddartha by Hermann Hesse, Le Petit Prince, and pretty much everything written by Neil Gaiman, especially Coraline - one of the illustrations by Dave McKean is now inked on my skin! As for music, I love 80s rock, 90s dance, metal and industrial, but I fall for many "stupid" and commercial tunes I hear people sing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hugged a dolphin and a gator in Florida, I cried in a temple in Kyoto because beauty was overwhelming, I've seen my sister grow up and become a nurse, I found out that friends are the family you choose, I've had my heart broken in million pieces but I still want to live my life at the fullest!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could share my lifestyle, sometimes it's boring but mostly when I'm with people it becomes more and more exciting. When I host someone I become a very helpful guide around my territory and I am able to show places and tell stories that entertain. I'm used to being a teacher; I hope this can be useful. I'm also used to being a student, so open to learn more through new experiences. That's why I'm alive.
