Présentation
À propos de moi
I am 29 year-old Chilean. I wish to meet extraordinary places and people from whom I can learn and grow with every encounter. I live in Santiago but love to travel every once in a while :)
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I am looking forward to meeting people from all around the world with different cultures. What better way to getting to know a city than from a local. I am always willing to try new things, learn languages, customs, cultures, recipes, whatever comes in my way that result in great experiences which I will be able to share with more people bringing joy. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to achieve it.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Basically I am open to all genre. I am more inclined towards latin, urban and pop. Favourite artists range widely from Adele, Dua Lipa, Pink, Shakira and Juanes to Donna Summer and Aretha Franklin to ageless videogame music :)
As for movies I also do not discriminate. Though I tend to go for the more light-hearted ones, the ones that when you exit a cinema make you feel joy and get you the soundtrack stuck in your head. Musicals like Mamma Mia and La La Land and romcoms like The Proposal and We're the Millers. I also share interest in thrillers and horror movies such as a Quiet Place and The Conjuring franchise.
Favourite Series include Black Mirror, White Collar, Please Like Me, Jane the Virgin, GOT, Orange is the New Black and some Anime like Demon Slayer.
As for books I tend to go to the more fantasy ones like Harry Potter and the Hunger Games. Although recently I have been enjoying many of Behavioural Economics, i.e., how human make decisions no matter how irrational and different from what is taught in traditional economic theory. Great books are What Money Can't Buy, The Positive Advantage, Freakonomics and my current one Predictably Irrational, by Dan Ariely. I really find them fascinating and are genuinely so fun to read an learn.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I spent most of my time living in the southest Region of Chile, Magallanes (Patagonia). This includes a couple of years in the Antartica when I was little. My friends say I'm a penguin, in part because I can withstand cold temperatures and do not like much high temperatures :D
I volunteered in a student-founded org that addressed poor quiality education in one of the most vulnerable communes in Santiago. I planned to be there for 3 months originally but stayed for two years. It was one of the most eye-opening, enriching and fulfilling experiences that I have done :)
This year I plan to add a lot of things to this list.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
As for teaching I guess it would be my native toungue, Chilean. We speak Spanish, but given the amount of slang and weird stuff we add, it seems like a unique language. I love learning new stuff, so if you want to learn a new dance like salsa and bachata we could go to a dance class. If you want to learn a new recipe we can go get the ingredients, watch a tutorial and I would gladly join. Go out, try a new sport or whatever it is, I like to push myself and try new things and better it is with company.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I am a very good listener, adaptable, respectful, clean and friendly being that will be thankful for the accomodation. I wish to thank back by inviting to some coffee, grab something to eat or share experiences we can enjoy together.
