Antes de terminar mi carrera como periodista, ya sabia que no iba a poder tener un típico trabajo de 8 hs de oficina, ni 15 injustos días de vacaciones después de trabajar todo un año. No lo podría soportar. El mundo y sus culturas me intrigan de tal manera que no me alcanza con leer algo por internet, sino que siento fervientemente la necesidad de poder estar allí. Creo en viajar como una forma de encontrar, paz, sabiduría y autoconocimiento. Una frase bastante cliché pero que la considero demasiado cierta es "la vida es un viaje" entonces si tengo la suerte de estar vivo, si dicen que la vida es corta, no considero otra posibilidad que disfrutarla haciendo lo que me va a hacer feliz, viajar y todo lo que implica.
La idea es poder llegar a ser un "nómada digital" para poder contar mis experiencias. Actualmente administro una página web (elmundodelabirra.com) y con la idea de crear otra que se tratará sobre los viajes que vaya realizando.

Before finishing my career as a journalist, I knew that I would not be able to have a typical 8-hour office job, or 15 unfair vacation days after working a year. I could not stand it. The world and its cultures intrigue me in such a way that I can not just read anything online, I have to be there. I believe in traveling as a way of finding, peace, wisdom and self-knowledge. I think that the cliché phrase "life is a trip" is so true. So if I am lucky to be alive, if they say that life is short, I do not consider another possibility to enjoy doing what will make me happy, travel and everything that implies.
The idea is to be able to become a "digital nomad" and share it to the world. I currently manage a web page (elmundodelabirra.com) and with the idea of creating another one that will be about the trips that I am making.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Creo que gracias a Couchsurfing se puede disfrutar de una experiencia mucho más cercana a la cultura de los distintos lugares del mundo. Quiero poder conocer cómo es la vida en cada país que visite a través de las personas que viven allí.
Lamentablemente, no voy a poder alojar a nadie por ahora porque voy a estar viajando, pero si en algún momento llego a tener un lugar fijo, cualquiera será bienvenido.

Creo que no hay nada que realmente no me interese. En general siento curiosidad por casi todas las cosas e intento que así sea. Estaré contento de poder escuchar nuevas historias, experiencias y contar cosas que haya presenciado. Me gustaría probar comidas que considere exóticas, y entre mis intereses preferidos son la literatura y el cine.

Tengo un tatuaje de Hunther. S . Thompson en mi brazo izquierdo. Entonces todo lo relacionado a ese autor me fascina. He leido sus libros : The Rum diary y Fear and Loathing in Vegas, además de otro que sobre distintos artículos periodísticos que escribió. También vi las adaptaciones al cine de estos libros y Where the buffallo Roam, una película dedica a él. Me gusta Tarantino. Los hermanos Cohen. La poesía de Pizarnik y Girondo. Borges, siempre Borges. De ningún tema me considero experto, ni siquiera muy leído, pero estos autores han traído muchas cosas a mi vida.

Dispuesto a aprender de todo y sobre todo. No me considero tan apto para enseñar, pero no tendré problemas en hacerlo. Al manejar una página web, quizás mi máxima ayuda pueda ser con Wordpress, sus herramnientas y algo de SEO. Dispuesto a compartir todo porque así se disfruta el doble.
