Overview
About Me
I am a very open and dynamic person. I like meeting new people, doing new experiences, travelling, confronting myself with new situations and challenges.
I am very much involved in social and political projects, on a voluntary basis and, since some time, also professionally.
After many years spent abroad and around Italy, I decided to get back to my home town in Sicily because I felt I had to do something to help out my native land... and also because I was missing the relaxed and genuine lifestyle in Sicily: fresh seafood, playing some music in a square, going to the beach etc. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm very curious, I like to meet new people with very different experiences, backgrounds and stories to share. At the end, I believe that the best part of your trip is what comes randomly, such as meeting people you would never imagine to meet :)
Interests
Politics, music, films, books, culture (in a very broad meaning). I love playing drums (I own a cajón and some other cool percussions) and sing with people, be it on the beach, in a square, in a garden, it doesn't really matter!
I like to party but also to have a nice talk drinking some red wine or something elste. I love cooking: it relaxes me a lot and makes me feel better, after a day spent at work!

Music, Movies, and Books
A bit of everything. I go from progressive rock to jazz manouche, from singer-songwriters to MPB, from punk to some traditional folk; and from the big Hollywood classics to some independent films of unknown Italian producers, be they thriller, comedies, dramas or whatever else (don't like horror films, though!).
Books? A bit of everything, as well. I love reading and I can't really go to sleep without reading at least a few pages. Saramago, García Marquez and Hemingway are among my favourite writers. Love the Baudelaire's Albatross.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sharing is the key, more than teaching. And you can really share everything.
