About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Teaching English in Medellín Colombia, learning about the language and culture.
ABOUT ME
I have accidentally been doing everything the most backwards way possible ever since I was little.
I like to play musical instruments (especially kitchen utensil percussion) and sing.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to maintain a high level of gumption and inpire a high level in others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to participate in conversations by going off on tangents, and if people are playing music, I like participate by using a cheese grater as a guiro.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never directly instigated a CouchSurfing experience, but I've hung out with people who met on CouchSurfing. It was fun, so now I'm joining.
Interests
Anything nerdy, the phases of the moon, patacones, musical instruments, Tibetan throat singing, boomerangs...

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently reading Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. Recently read 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami, MacBeth by Shakespeare, and Islands in the Stream by Hemingway.
Currently listening to Eastern Blok. Recently listened to Ween, some kids playing Cumbia outside my window, and Claude DeBussy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recognized fossils of stromatopheroids in the stones that comprise the wall around Cartagena. (Maybe everyone already knows about this.)
Teach, Learn, Share
There isn't anything in particular that I specialize in, but I know a little bit about a lot of things. Playing musical instruments, cooking, the phases of the moon, the orders of terrestrial insects are all things that I like to talk about.
