About Me

I'm 26 years old and from Medellin, Colombia.
I graduated a couple of years ago from University as a Product Design Engineer. I currently work in a company that designs and develops electric vehicles of all sizes for latin american countries. I'm also a freelancer, offering to clients consulting with product design and development.
My passions in life are to create, travel, learning and riding my bike. I'm a very outgoing person with an ever-wondering and curious mind. I like to ask questions and explore new possibilities, always looking after the next project, ride or adventure. I love to meet new people and learn from them, open my mind in some way and think about new possibilities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because more than taking selfies at landmarks I'm eager to know and understand new cultures and foreign lands. I want to know about the people, the culture, the food and the truly unique places, and the only way to do this is by adventuring to meet new friends and talk. To be receptive to people and the universe as whole. I believe that couchsurfing is a great way to achieve just this, exchange a bit of your culture for a bit of someone elses culture one couchsurf at a time.

Interests

I'm interested in history, local cuisines, foreign cultures, amazing bike routes, dancing and having fun with different friends. I want to share great conversations and amazing experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love rock music in all of its depth and width, blues, jazz, hip-hop, salsa and classical. I'm pretty much very open minded when it comes to music, movies and books, I generally forgo labels and genres, and focus on the content and ideas, I like things that feel authentic and well-crafted, that express a sense of pride and joy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2013 I was part of a team that built the first ever Colombian Solar Car. We designed and built the car ourselves and then traveled to Darwin, Australia and raced across the outback in the 2013 World Solar Challenge. This was an amazing experienced that tested my skills and limits, taught me how to be part of a team, and allowed me to meet people from different countries and compete across one of the most beautiful regions of earth.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm both fluent in English and Spanish, and I'm willing to teach and help practice any of the two. Additionally I'm a very good cook and can give a very practical home cooking lesson to anyone interested. We can have deep and fun conversations and I can tell you about Colombia, about its people, culture, history and places to visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook my hosts a very good Colombian meal (or any type of meal they enjoy). I can bring you some traditional Colombian foods and desserts, we can also go out to exercise, jog, cycle of play soccer. We can also go out for a nice meal and maybe dance some latin music.
