ABOUT ME

Federico Azpilcueta Ferrer was born in the morning of June 26th, 1984, in Mendoza, Argentina. His parents are Edgardo Antonio Azpilcueta Blasco and Beatriz Ferrer Cason. He spent his childhood in Chacras de Coria, his picturesque hometown. His first contacts with art started at an early age. Since 1994 he attended an arts workshop called "Los bajitos pintan bien", where his teachers, Miriam Palloti and Silvia Odoriz soon discovered his painting skills.

As years passed, he always found time to paint. Once at university, and due to his excellent academic performance, he was awarded a scholarship to continue his architecture studies in Mexico. It was there that he had the chance to study famous American artists, and discover their techniques, style, and local colour. He could later take advantage of their influence to enrich his own creation. At present, he divides his time between his job as an architect and painting, his passion. His particular style, his personal use of colour, and the subtle and original shades of his production are clear proof of his artistic growth and creative sensitivity.
