Lorrie Moore, Salman Rushdie, David Foster Wallace, Jonathan Franzen are some of my favorite authors.
Movies - Two Lovers, Goodbye Lenin, David Lynch, Ratatouille, Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Cleo from 5 to 7, Rear Window, Fight Club, Dr. Strangelove, Battle of Algiers, Lives of Others and in general comedies a la Apatow.
Music - way too much - right now I love Amanda Palmer, The Books, Pavement, Devendra Banhart, Mates of State, the National, Magnetic Fields.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about Emily Dickinson, French films especially about WWII or the Algerian War, Victorian literature, 1930s American theater, a lot of nerdy english stuff, the political implications of science fictions... How to cook, how to bake, how to do body paint, how to build a model, how to write a ten minute play, how to change a tire/oil/jumpstart your car/drive stick, how to use Final Cut Pro.
I can also teach you how to read medieval french, latin or ancient greek! You know, in case, you ever need it.
