About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A housemate of mine is an avid couchsurfer and I have been able to ride the wave of fun with her and the couchsurfees who've stayed at our house. We really enjoyed the company of Aaron and Erika, who came to us after camping in OCCUPY BRISTOL in November. All they wanted to do was curl up in bed and drink tea. It was so cute. Then there was Sharna, from Australia, who spoilt us with delicious dohnuts (including pustachio flavour)and helped us in our attempts to fly a kite. Danielle and Richard came to us expecting to explore typical Bristol - they ended up coming with us to a friend's Bollywood Party - not sure how typical Bristol it was. The main thing I got from these experiences is, couchsurfing leads you into very random and spontaneous social situations. :)
Also, in Morocco I did some unofficial couchsurfing with random acquaintaintences on our journey South. Lots of unexpected activities resulted including accidental run-ins with friendly drug dealers and watching Doctor Who with really cute kittens.
Then I went to Finland and had fun times in the cold as a couchsurfer sometimes, and then other times a WWOOFer.
Had a few different people come and stay with me in Bristol and London since then - I really love showing people around places and see the interesting side of mundane things.
