ABOUT ME
After graduating from the uni and finally being free, I suddenly realised that full-time work leaves even less time for travelling and fun - surprise surprise! So now I've stopped with that for a bit and moved to Dublin. I'm still career-searching and making lots of "great" plans for future. Just need to stop and implement one of them. You know.
PHILOSOPHY
The world is much bigger than it seems, especially when you look for opportunities!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting and surfing (sadlynot so , much lately). I also love the idea of communities so I often take parts in events and organize some myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first tried couchsurfing in France and I enjoyed it immensely - my hosts were absolutely amazing! It turns out all couchsurfers are fantastic people so I guess it shouldn't have been that much of a surprise :) I love both surfing and hosting - these experiences are very different and very similar at the same time, you just end up with new friends!
Interests
My main hobby is Irish dancing so if you see me in a ridiculous sparkly dress and weird-looking shoes talking about reels and hornpipes, don't run away! Seriously, I can talk about more things than just that :) While I'm not practicing, I also love readin, cooking, biking, walking, talking about life philosophy and experimenting with food :)) (random order!)
- dancing
- dining
- cooking
- running
- walking
- traveling
- piano
- cycling
- surfing
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
Don't get me wrong, but I do consider J.K. Rowling one of the best writers of modern times. I'd die to write like she does, too.
I'm very much into travelogues, distopias and, being a girl, novels (England XIX century type). The Hunger Games are amazingly addictive, and Shantaram is very insightful. Yeah, pretty much all genres - if you have something similar to recommend, I'd be totally grateful.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ending up in a small coastal Irish town at night and - since we just had to see the sea! - climbing down the cliff in pitch darkness :) Then walking 2 hours to the nearest train station, it just seemed like fun at the time!
Being in three countries at once: the point where Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands meet.
Learning to cook traditional Indian food from an Indian lady
Canoeing at sunset in Ha Long Bay
Zip-lining into a mud cave
Biking through the clouds along the Vietnamese Hai Van Pass (Just like Jeremy Clarkson!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always happy to learn some new dance steps or practice my French and German. A couple of tips on playing the piano would also be most appreciated ;)
I can teach you how to cook some Russian specials (draniki, for example ;)) or my husband's personal favourite lemon cheesecake. And a couple of Irish dancing steps too!
