Informazioni generali
Chi sono
Historical facts: I'm originally from Montana, USA...but I moved to Israel with my family in the 90's. Less than a decade later, I returned to the states. I worked with people, in youth development. I am very interested in people, their stories, other cultures. I want to do more traveling so that I can be more engaged in the world and hopefully see things from different perspectives!
In 2015 I relocated to a Pacific Island called Tinian, to teach English Language Arts at a High School.
I think a lot about how my actions and interactions with others impact my place in the world. My mission is to explore and discover!
I love food and art. When I travel, I eat a lot and am one of those people who likes to visit museums. I am interested in local music and cultural events. I enjoy conversations over fancy cocktails and/or delicious food. TLGBIQPNb2s+ friendly.
Moto: "Take the Lively Air", excerpted from Theodore Roethke poem...I think it means take opportunities and go with it! :)

Musica, film e libri
I like movies and books about people. I especially like historical novels or stories about people. Young Adult/Coming of Age novels are my favorites! (I teach high school language arts)
Books: novels, biographies, graphic novels.....mostly stories about people and their experiences. Both fiction and non-fiction, but not really into science fiction or fantasy....This is what interests me. Favorites are Fun Home, Persepolis, Ellen Foster, Perks of being a Wallflower, The Alchemist, Middlesex, I'll Give You the Sun, The Catcher in Rye, The Outsiders, Still Alice, Holding Still For As Long As Possible, City of Thieves, Night, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, American Born Chinese, The Berlin Boxing Club, My Name is Malala, This One Summer, Closer to Fine, etc...
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I moved to the states on my own when I was a teenager. I got myself enrolled in school, worked two jobs in order to pay my bills, and graduated with honors, despite having to do a lot of additional coursework (via correspondence courses) because many of my credits didn't transfer.
Insegna, impara, condividi
Hebrew, the amazing things you can make with paper mache, one cup campfire meals, and how to make a functional backpack out of a tree/some cordage and your sleeping bag and pad.
Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa
I love cooking. I don't know if it means that I am that good at it, but I love to do it. I also enjoy a good conversation and it's been said that I make pretty good company. :) I also have some wilderness medicine training.
