About Me

My boyfriend and I are currently working and traveling in New Zealand for a year. I am originally from California and my boyfriend, Gunnar, is from Berlin. I am an environmental film festival coordinator and Gunnar does international development work.

CURRENT MISSION

Intercultural understanding and experience!

ABOUT ME

I am focused but also goofy and passionate. I try to live as simply and intentionally as possible. I'm passionate about connecting global structures and occurrences with local examples and care about effective social justice education and action. I love to travel and I love to adventure. I am pretty chill and open to new ideas and people.

PHILOSOPHY

Let your life speak.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to connect with people who value learning, respect, and adventure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveled using CS in the US a lot. Great fun!

Interests

Although typical on CouchSurfing, I love to travel. Learning about and engaging with folks around the world fulfills me. Additionally, I love to dance. It has been my choice of self expression and overall happiness since middle school. The outdoors replenishes and energizes me. I love to hike, swim, kayak, do yoga and camp! I am always down to adventure and explore.
Spending time with friends is essential and meeting new peoples of all walks of life always is a treat.
I also love plants, cooking, attempting to play harmonica and collaging.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in a Mayan village in the Western Highlands of Guatemala with a host family was one of the most eye-opening, life-changing experiences I've ever had. Living was incredible - difficult, scary, hilarious, and adventurous - overall one of the best things I could have ever done.
