About Me
ABOUT ME
I presently spend my working hours hiking around the Mojave Desert, collecting data for mostly desert tortoise and Joshua Tree studies, all the while listening to NPR podcasts and taking an excessive amount of photos.
Interests
Being active, especially outdoors: cycling (century rides on my trusty Trek), ultimate! ("ultimate frisbee" to the uninitiated), hiking, backpacking, learning how to rock climb, etc, etc, etc.
Reading: cooking blogs, NYTimes.com, field guides, anything by Anne Fadiman, fiction your high school English teacher would approve of, The Official Google Blog
Dreaming & scheming about: what to cook for dinner; my next road trip &/or adventure; going to grad school for something related to sustainable international development; an extended (3+ months?) international backpacking trip (advice/suggestions welcome)

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Just saw Bhutto at Sundance, which was a pretty amazing experience. In general, I like uplifting, happy-ending dramas such as Finding Nemo or Good Will Hunting. Okay, I admit it...I like chick flicks...you got a problem with that?? =)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to throw a frisbee (or disc, as we prefer to call them) - I almost always travel with one!
