About Me

Hello, I am from Singapore and I constantly try to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone. There is so much to explore and discover around the world, and so we should never confine ourselves a fixed set of perspective, and therefore I would like to expose myself to as many places and cultures (: Also, I am an "ENFP" and although I am really high on extraversion, I do see the need and importance of having some "alone" time once in awhile to consolidate my thoughts and take a breather.

Currently an undergraduate at Singapore Management University, where I major in Sociology. Has a passion for European History (especially Cold War period), Criminology and Psychology (Oh man, I sound like I am such a geek.)

Also, I am pretty happy-go-lucky person as I believe that we should live our life to the fullest everyday and leave no regrets behind! (:

PHILOSOPHY

"For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over again. " - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing has revolutionised the way one travels. Personally, I feel that the best way to travel is to look through the lens of its people and learn from others. Also, this platform has really allowed me to meet and make many like-minded individuals and forge friendships. (: The warmth and friendliness of the people I have met over Couchsurfing have really open up my perspective to the world and inspired me to pay it forward.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught in a local school for a month in Cambodia and while I was there, I was knocked down by a motorcycling while I was cycling on the roads. Most traumatic experience ever but I SURVIVED (:

Teach, Learn, Share

I have just picked up cooking and would be more than happy to learn from others, as well as teach others what I have learnt.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a huge History (especially on Cold War, China) and Sociology buff! So it would really be interesting to talk and exchange perspectives on social issues and perhaps politics!

As I have a passion for volunteering, I have also been to quite a number of places so I could share with you some of my traveling and volunteering experiences (:

I am also learning how to cook so I can whip up a decent Singaporean Chinese meal for my host! (:
