Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I wasn't born in Rio de Janeiro, I'm from Vitória, a city 450km (279.617mi) away from here. I came here in 2002 to work in the Navy and I loved the city so I stayed here.

I think it made me realize that I understand how people feel when they first come here. That’s why I joined CS, to try to help tourists and people like me to experience the best of Rio de Janeiro.

When I had time for it I was in the organization of the weekly meetings and many events from CS. You can see some photos from that time in my profile. But now I'm very busy so I can't be so close to Rio's CS anymore, but I keep hosting people, showing my place to them and going to some CS weekly meetings.

I made many friends with CS. So I hope to keep meeting extraordinary people from all over the world and making nice friends.

Interessen

I'm an athlete and I love nature, so I prefer a hiking or beach day than a drinking night. But sometimes I love to go to Lapa with friends (Lapa is the best nightlife in Rio, in my opinion).

So I love to share my life with nice people. I like to meet people from all over the world and talking about good ideas, culture, travel experiences and opinions.

I'm a military athlete, I'm doing amazing things all week. I love it. I'm an athlete and instructor in the Brazilian Navy. I must keep everybody alive...

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I live alone, but I am never alone at home. I like to cook for myself. So if you want, we could share some tips about food. I'd love to make a typical Brazilian food for you. I'm not vegetarian.

I have an acoustic guitar, so we could make dinner and we could sing together some beautiful music (if we remember the lyrics).

Of course, I could help you to improve your Portuguese, but I'd love to improve my English as much as possible. So feel free to choose the language for talking.

I'd appreciate if you could talk about your life, opinion, country... I’d love to experience that with local people as well.

I can give tips about alternative and touristic places in Rio: beaches, hiking, radical sports, perfect views...

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I live in a very old place in Brazil, close to Flamengo beach. So there are many histories everywhere. It's very close to the subway station. I love the place that I live in and it’s easy to go everywhere.

I love to show my city by motorcycle. There is no traffic and it's easy for us to go everywhere, especially the beach! By the way, I know all of Rio's beaches and trails. If you have an adventurous soul, I can show all of them to you! I love to go to the beach. Sometimes I also train there.

Sometimes I like to go to Lapa or someplace in the "tourist zone" to enjoy the nightlife. I could show you the best caipirinha and the best cachaça in the world. I am able to share easygoing conversation, art, dance, food, opinions and even some basics classes of swimming.

I believe Couch Surfing is more than hosting free. If you offer the best of you, I could offer you the best of me! ;)
