About Me
Sightseeing is nice, but overrated. Eating regional foods and getting to know locals, on the other hand, is underrated. When traveling, you can stay at a hotel, a hostel or couchsurf, for instance, and they’re all very different ways of traveling. I mean, there’s really no better or right way, it goes from the person and his goals. One can rather relax and seek comfort, while other can search for parties and meet other travelers, but I think Couchsurfing is the best chance to meet locals and go deep inside a culture. That’s what I look for when traveling and until now it has proven very worthy (but everyone else here in Couchsurfing kind of thinks the same or similarly, I guess hahaha).
I also think that getting to really know other people, not just meeting, is one of the best ways to fight all forms of prejudice. "When you really know someone, it's hard to love or hate the person", and it's also impossible to idolize the person. I would say that's because you realize we're all pretty much the same, separated only by DNA and culture. The quote is from a friend of mine.
That's philosophy, but about me? Nothing better than reading my references, as others describe you better than yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
You can find it on the section above :)
Also, Couchsurfing is kind of addictive for me: the more you travel and host people, the more you see the world is much more a nice and friendly place than an evil and bad one, it's just that most people focus only on disgrace and violence (and they do exist, of course, but that's not the rule). The more I use Couchsurfing the more I want to cooperate and help other couchsurfers (and travel as well).

Music, Movies, and Books
It all depends so much on so many variables, like the phase of life I am, my mood and in what sense is the song/movie/book my favorite, but I'll try to write down some that are memorable
I enjoy reading a lot, especially during vacation, but the book that marked my life was Robinson Crusoe - which was also the first book I read in English (it took a long while hehe)! Tuareg, by Alberto Vazquez-Figueroa, is also a very good book for when you have some free time. Exhaustion, by Anna Schaffner, and Brave New World, Aldous Huxley, both gave me lots to think about, and renewed some of my personal ideas and thoughts. Sapiens, a brief History of Humankind, as well, but (?) that's really popular/mainstream or so (should it be a problem?).
Movies? Impossible to say. I could say maybe The Godfather I and definitely Get Out, by Jordan Peele (seriously, watch it if you can).
Music definitelyf can't say, sorry. I listen to pretty much everything. Again, it goes from my mood or life stage.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stayed in a tent for some days with a Quilombola family in Brazil, eating at their table and celebrating with them their religious holidays and festivities. Froze my hand and couldn't move my fingers or feel anything for 15 minutes. Jumped off of an airplane!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm open and looking forward to learn all kinds of knowledge and stuff I find in this world. I can cook just a tiny little bit, but I can share my experiences and - why not - teach some Portuguese! Eu juro que dá pra aprender pelo menos um pouco!! hahah
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share experiences, a good company and a great glass of beer! I also really enjoy languages, so I can share what I know about it - and maybe get to know something more. I'm currently learning german :D
