About Me

Hello everyone! 👋

My name is Felipe, and I’ve been traveling around the world for the past 8 years.
My first big adventure was backpacking across my own country, Brazil. I explored almost every region — from the Amazon rainforest and the Pantanal to the beautiful “Brazilian Caribbean” in the Northeast. I spent about 2 years discovering the incredible diversity of my homeland.

If you ever want to visit Brazil, I’d be happy to help you plan your trip and recommend amazing places to explore.

After this wonderful adventure, I took a one-way flight to Mexico and spent 2 years traveling through Central and South America. I visited around 16 countries, and this long journey became my Spanish “school” — I never took formal classes, but the road taught me everything.

To continue living my dream of traveling, I realized I needed English. It was always a challenge for me, but I had strong motivation. So from 2016 to 2018, I lived in Australia to study English and prepare for the next steps of my journey.

Right after that, I spent almost a year and a half (2018–2019) exploring Asia with the dream of crossing the world from Japan all the way back to Brazil.

Now I’m back in Brazil, mostly around my region. I live in Pindamonhangaba, but I’m always on the move. Santo Antônio do Pinhal feels like my second home, and you can also find me often in Ubatuba.
I’m still traveling solo and meeting great people along the way — that’s what I love most about this lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet nice people with the same interests, travel, culture and good conversations.
I’ve been on the road for years, and Couchsurfing is the best way to connect with locals, learn real things about a place, and share experiences.
Is not about the place, is just genuine people, simple moments, and new friends around the world.

Interests

My life is all about traveling around the world like a true nomad. I love spending my time cooking for friends and sharing good food with good people.
I’m not a party guy, but I really enjoy having a beer while exchanging stories, experiences, and ideas.

I’m always interested in learning new languages, understanding different cultures, and exploring local gastronomy everywhere I go.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock is my favorite music style, but I’m pretty eclectic, I listen to almost everything… except electronic for too long. Haha.

When I travel, I read a lot. I always share my books after finishing them because it’s impossible to carry all of them in my backpack.
The last one I read was “My Father” by Juan Pablo Escobar, the story about Pablo. Now I’ve just started a new one (but all my books are in Portuguese).

I love a good comedy (Borat kills me 😂), adventure or action movies. Romances? Only with the right company. Hahaha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’m addicted to scuba diving, I’ve been diving for more than 20 years, and I always recommend this experience to everyone.
And of course, living on the road for so many years… that’s been the biggest adventure of my life. 🌎🤿

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Brazilian tricks: cooking, slang, and how to survive long buses in South America.
I love learning new languages, new recipes, and why every country thinks their beer is the best.
And I’m always happy to share good food, cold drinks, and tons of travel stories — some unbelievable, but all true (I swear!). 😄✌️

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m easy-going, friendly, and organized. I can help with house tasks and cook some really good meals.
I’m always happy and laughing, so good vibes are guaranteed.
And of course, I bring travel stories, company, and a lot of fun to share!
