About Me

*4x vaccinated

Working as lawyer for the past 10 years, I've used my last years vacations in order to backpack around the world. Finally, I realized something: I just work in order to take vacations, have fun and plan my next trip!

I would have done this before, but on January 2016 I've moved in to a larger three-bedroom appartment at Vila Madalena, the most bohemian neighbourhood in São Paulo, and I had plenty of space to share with fellow backpackers or other travellers.
On October 2018 I moved with two friends to an old big house nearby (not very close to subway station, although it is walking distance from Vila Madalena and Pinheiros), and lived there for 2 years, and after that I went to live in an appartment by myself in Pinheiros.

On April 2023 I moved again, this time because I wanted to live again in a house with a garden, trees, flowers and an open space. This neighbourhood is more quiet and residential, so any couchsurfer that stay here will have to walk/get an Uber in order to visit São Paulo's main touristic spots, bars and restaurants.

I work during weekdays from 9 to 6 (4 days a week, remotely, from home), and unfortunately I am not able to give much attention to my guests from Monday to Friday. However, I have an intense social life during my free time and I like the idea of inviting tourists and backpackers to join me and my friends on normal stuff we are used to do in São Paulo to have fun: dinners, barbecues, parties, clubs, bars and other local events. In this sense, I don't refuse weekdays requests, but I prefer when Couchsurfers stay back home during the weekend.

I also don't accept requests without my name on it, for obvious reasons.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To share the extra space I have back home, to show my city to fellow travellers and have fun!

Also, I backpacked alone a lot already, and I really know that sometimes, even if you are a sociable and funny type, some hostels can be a little bit boring and unfriendly.

Couchsurfing "saved" my life several times during my last trips, and I am happy to try to give something back in return for fellow travelers!

Interests

Cooking for my friends (Brazilian, Italian, Japanese, Spanish food), football and all kinds of sports, series, litterature, foreign languages, bars, restaurants.

I don't know why, but of all the languages I've learnt, I simply love Spanish!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At every hostel I stay, everytime one of the nights I randomly cook dinner for people that I don't know yet, without expecting anything in return... so many good stories!

Teach, Learn, Share

No man is an island,
Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thy friend's
Or of thine own were:
Any man's death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind,
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee.

John Donne
