I am 19 years old and I come from Chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱 I am a student of Economics at the KU Leuven. I was exchange student in Belgium with American Field Service and I liked so much the country that I decided to move here and start my studies. I really like to travel and I know how stressing might be just thinking how much you need to spend to make a nice trip, but I believe that you don't need to sell your life to be able to make a valuable trip so here I am !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people, now I have more time than usual. I have a student room in Leuven with an extra matrass so I would like to give it a use eventually :)

Interests

I play the piano since I was 8 so I am really close to that field of the arts. That doesn't mean that I am a person who doesn't like to party, I enjoy really much the nightlife of my city. I used to be the president of my high school and holded several administrations positions during my teenage years. There I developed a strong interest on politics and I would like to dedicate my professional career to the public service. I am not of those people that after two beers starts talking about politics but I will certainly reply if you bring the topic on the table.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen literally to everything, really depends on my mood, I love to listen typical music from other countries. I really enjoy listening to Schumann, Chopin, Ronnie Flex or lil kleine, my music spectrum is really wide.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a little bit of my language (Spanish) eventually also the basics of Dutch, how to ask for a beer in dutch (the locals love that), maybe we can cook something of your lang or maybe mine, I am really spontaneous, make you a tour for the city, show you where you can buy your stuff and if we are in the mood we can even go to party ! I would love to listen to nice stories, experiences, wharever you would like to tell me or share with me. I don't have too many incredible achievements or experiences yet but I am just starting my journey :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer you a chilean night, I am not really a cooking person but I really enjoy cooking (or trying) traditional food of my country, empanadas, completos, sopaipillas, etc (I cannot cook pastel de papas, that's really another level lol). I am open to your recommendations or even company if you want to offer me. I am really like not into asking for things, I am used to act really independent but if you want to hang out or whatever, more than welcome :)))
